This is the reason people smoke, just in case you are that one in a million that make it to old age. It’s like a gun to your head in russian roulette,theres a chance that it might not go off when its pointed at your head, but if the gun was fully loaded, you would’nt do it.
Always some old geezer out there that makes smokers think, “Hey, I might be that person”.

That’s interesting … maybe smoking doesn’t really do jack to you. Perhaps it’s other things in combination with smoking that causes lung cancer. Like air fresheners, diet, location/vocation, shoot even air pollution.

Too bad she wasn’t present at the city council meeting in my area that banned smoking in public buildings.

Thank you all for nice comments. I would like to add some of my thought here:

Smokers may feel relieved but I don't think somebody should start smoking for this very reason.

Smoking is BAD and it DOES harm!

There are always exceptions and I believe this is one in millions.

Although it is interesting, I feel the purpose of the picture is trying to say that “tobacco is not necessarily bad for health” This is simply untrue, although this woman is 100 and smokes does not mean that her health could not have been better had she never smoked. So while the picture is pretty sweet, the message appears to be mixed up.
