An art student had to spend a night in jail for placing a sculpture that resembled a bomb outside the Royal Ontario Museum. Thorarinn Ingi Jonsson, 24, had to visit court this afternoon on charges of mischief and nuisance.
The Ontario College of Art and Design student turned himself into police last night for his role in a bomb hoax that forced the Canadian Foundation for AIDS Research to cancel part of a black-tie fundraising gala on Wednesday.
The Icelandic citizen is told to be the son of famous sculptor and well-known television personality in his home country.
And after a few hours, two videos depicting a fake bombing of the museum were posted to YouTube.
