One of the world’s busiest airport? No, it is Lukla.

I came across a 2007 video in YouTube featuring Nepali airport, Tenzing-Hillary Airport at Lukla showing interesting plane maneuverings.

Lukla airport has a very short (475 m) runway and a steep runway slope (12 degree slope) and a scary drop off (700m) at the end of the runway. The airport might be one of the high traffic airports at such an altitude but busiest in the world … ? No way! The title of this post actually came from the uploader’s comment for the video.

Dasdhunga, 10 minutes too long – censor board

The Nepali film censor board has objected on some scenes of a movie based on the event of an ‘accident’ killing two top UML leaders, Madan Bhandari and Jivraj Ashrit. The 1993 ‘accident’ happened in a very mysterious circumstances and the only survivor of the accident, driver Amar Lama, was also killed after 10 years by an unidentified killer.

The movie ‘Dasdhunga’, produced by Apil Bista and directed by Manoj Pandit, is based on the incident, named after the accident location, Dasdhunga. The movie is told to be based on reports of various examination committees (Anil Commission, Tuladhar Commission, and Oli Commission) and published news/articles after the incident. The actors in the movie are: Anup Baral (Government Examination Panel), Dayahang Rai (driver Amar Lama), Saugat Malla (foreign agent), Sanchita Luintel (Anup Baral’s wife) etc.

Art student and fake bomb in Royal Ontario Museum

An art student had to spend a night in jail for placing a sculpture that resembled a bomb outside the Royal Ontario Museum. Thorarinn Ingi Jonsson, 24, had to visit court this afternoon on charges of mischief and nuisance.

The Ontario College of Art and Design student turned himself into police last night for his role in a bomb hoax that forced the Canadian Foundation for AIDS Research to cancel part of a black-tie fundraising gala on Wednesday.

The Icelandic citizen is told to be the son of famous sculptor and well-known television personality in his home country.

And after a few hours, two videos depicting a fake bombing of the museum were posted to YouTube.

The sexiest teacher in the world

An Italian teacher has been suspended from school because of her extra-curricular activities as a porn star, local authorities announced Thursday.

The out-of-hours behavior of Anna Ciriani, who calls herself “Madameweb” in hard-core videos on the Internet and at erotic shows, was “not compatible with educational activity,” the head of the Friuli-Venezia Giulia education authority said.

In 2002, some of Ms Ciriani’s students stumbled across some of her videos online, printed off hard copies of some of the pictures from the sites and papered the school lavatory with them.

Last month, she travelled to Germany for the 11th Venus-Berlin, an international pornography fair, where she proved a big hit. “Madameweb’s extempore performance was one of the hottest moments at the fair,” the Italian newspaper La Repubblica reported on its website. She followed it up with a five-minute YouTube video in which she appeared completely naked on a bus, on a subway system and walking along a street.(news)

Fined for crushing beer cans between …

Well, you don’t really see such an event everyday. An Australian barmaid crushing beer cans betwen her bare breasts. Another off-duty colleague was hanging spoons from her friend’s nipples. They both however were fined for their action according to the police in Western Australia. The 31-year old barmaid pleaded guilty of exposing breast twice, in the court at the Premier Hotel in Pinjarra, south of the state capital, Perth.

The barmaid and the hotel manager were both fined A$1,000 ($900), while an off-duty barmaid was fined A$500 for helping to hang spoons from the woman’s nipples, police said.

Bin Laden appeared again with a makeover

After nearly three years of silence Bin Laden appeared in a video and proved the rumors of his death was false. The video of al Qaeda leader was released on September 7, 2007 in a website.

This time he has dyed his beard from gray to black and ditched his military camouflage jacket for Arabic robes.

There has been lot of speculation on why this video has appeared after such a long time. Some say it might be an indication that new attacks are around. Some other think he just want to convey message that he is still the leader of al Qaeda.

Despite the lack of dramatic content, analysts said they could not rule out the possibility that bin Laden’s first appearance since the eve of the 2004 U.S. presidential election was a rallying cry for a new attack. (Reuters)

French Spiderman’s latest climb: Lisbon Bridge

Alain Robert, 44, also known as the French Spiderman was arrested atop Lisbon’s 25th of April bridge today. Two policemen standing at the top of the pillar arrested Robert for trespassing. He will have to pay a fine of 120 euros (82 pounds) before being released. He used no ropes when he climbed the 190 meters (620 feet) over the Tagus River during rush hour on Monday. Robert said he had been arrested more than 100 times for climbing buildings.

It started at the age of 12 when he got locked out of his apartment and decided to mount the eight stories up to an open window. (source : Reuters)

Amazing Kid – Speaks 13 Languages

A street vendor kid somewhere in India claims that he speaks 13 different languages including French, Italian, German, Arabic, Russian, and Japanese.

Well, if you listen carefully you would realize that his knowledge on all those languages is not perfect. But as it looks like he is a street vendor and has never gone to school, you can’t expect more than that.

All I can understand that his English is not that good. But I am sure kids his age in his neighborhood can’t speak like him.

Highly diverse landscape and raw, undeveloped nature. Well, if you are looking for luxury, I would not suggest you to go there… this is simply not for you.
