Manisha Koirala, "I can’t cry the way you tell me"

After 22 years of absence in Nepali movies, Manisha Koirala has recently started acting in a Nepali movie named Dharma. The movie originally named ‘Rajniti’ was renamed ‘Dharma’ to suit the character of Manisha.

Manisha had enjoyed the post of the top actress in Bollywood, the Indian movie capital, for some time in the past. But, these days new actresses have taken over and she doesn’t have much projects in hand. That was one of the reason she agreed to act in the Nepali movie. Nepali movie industry is not as advanced as Bollywood and the talent in the industry is not of that of the quality Manisha is used to.

‘Girls’ controversy in new heights

jenisha_sale The not-so-decent poster photo of Jenisha caused controversy during the inauguration of the movie, “Girls”.

When the proposed lead actress, Jenisha KC, accused the producers of attaching her head to somebody else’s torso another model came to rescue by claiming the torso was hers. The model, Baby Thapa, also accused producer/director Sunilkumar Yadav (Prince) for doctoring the poster without her knowledge.

Baby Thapa told Saptahik weekly that she was promised the role of lead actress in the movie and the photo was taken in the studio of cybersansar.com. He however later declined the role due to pricing dispute.

Manisha Koirala to act in a Nepali Movie

Her golden days seems to be over in Bollywood as she doesn’t have much Bollywood movies in hand. She is utilizing her free time by acting in a Nepali movie.

Manisha is going to act in the lead actress role in ‘Dharma’, a movie directed by Dipendra K Khanal (‘The Yug Dekhi Yug Samma’ fame). Apart from Manisha, Rajesh Hamal and Nikhil Upreti will act in lead actor roles. Madhav Acharya, Anu Shah and Shankar Acharya will act in supporting actors role in the movie.

The movie, previously named ‘Rajniti’, was renamed ‘Dharma’ after signing Manisha in the lead role.

Bhuwan KC’s son Anamol to walk on his father’s steps

The youngest son of Bhuwan KC is going to act in a movie with his father. Bhuwan KC and his son Anamol will act as father and son in a home production movie called ‘Sathi ma Timro’.

Bhuwan wanted at least one of his siblings to work in films for which he has found Anamol interested and capable. His older son Bivek and daughter Kajol are studying in the US.

Anamol KC is studying in grade 10 and is appearing in SLC exam this year. Apart from acting Anamol is also interested in singing. He likes to sing rock and pop songs.

Hari Bamsha Acharya, one of the MaHa-duo, was born to Homanjaya Acharya and Ganesh Kumari on 27th Kartik 2014 BS (9th October 1958) in Gairidhara, Kathmandu. In 2040 BS he married Meera Acharya with whom he has two sons, Trilok Acharya and Mohit Acharya.

He started his entertainment career with a performance in Radio Nepal with Hari Prasad Rimal and Jitendra Mahat Avilashi in 2031 BS. He joined Rastriya Naach Ghar, a theater in Kathmandu, in 2032. His solo performance in the Gaijatra Mahotsav of 2034 BS was the first successful event before partnering with Madan Krishna Shrestha. Madan Krishna Shrestha, one of the MaHa-duo, was born to Ram Krishna Lal Shrestha and Laxmi Devi Shrestha on 7th Baishakh 2007 BS ( 19th April 1950) in Jitpur Phedi, Kathmandu. In 2031 BS he married Yeshoda Shrestha with whom he has a son, Yaman Shrestha, and a daughter, Shrana Shrestha. Madan Krishna Shrestha lives in Dhobidhara, Kathmandu with his family.

Shri Krishna Shrestha – Nepali actor, producer

Sri Krishna Shrestha has established himself as a sucessful actor with more than 100 movies as an actor. In recent years when acting offers were reduced, Sri Krishna decided to test his hand on producing movies.

His first home production movie Kaha Bhetiyala (2009) proved to be successful and helped him to establish himself as a successful producer.

In is career, Sri Krishna has given many hit movies like Afanta, Afno Manchhe, Eh Mero Hajur, Hami Tin Bhai etc. Most of his movies are directed by a successful director Shiva Regmi. The only movies directed by Shiva Regmi without Shri Krishna were Manish, Upahar and Ek Phera Hansi Deuna.

Shri Krishna is unmarried till date but he is rumored to be in love with Sweta Khadka, the lead actress of his movie Kaha Bhetiyala, and that they are planning to get married soon. Sweta Khadka debuted her acting career in Shri Krishna’s first movie as a new face.
