There was a news about a girl from western Nepal emitting “glass pieces” from forehead in Rising Nepal. But after that no news has appeared about the mysterious 12-year-old girl of Tikapur Municipality-9. Kantipur also covered the news and journalists in Nepal don’t care to follow-up their stories. I wish they could update the news.
It was told that Sarita’s parents had already spent over Rs. 300,000 for her treatment but to no avail. I don’t know if she was cured or is she still has the glass problem. Doctors thought the glass pieces come out of a bone. But they were not much sure on what was causing this strange thing.
The news was published on September 23, 2006 and it was told that she had started producing triangular glass pieces everyday since August 7 of that year. Sarita’s mother was quoted as saying her daughter emitted as much as 12 pieces in a single day. Here is a quote from the news:
“At the beginning, there was a blister at the side of her forehead. When we scratched it, a piece of glass came out,” Dhansara said explaining how her daughter started “emitting glass pieces.”
Sometimes Sarita loses consciousness when she begins to “emit” glass pieces, Dhansara said, adding her daughter has never met with any accident.
Generally, Sarita starts emitting glass pieces from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., Dhansara claimed.
I got her photos from Kantipur’s online version.
