NY Fire Department : No more steamy calender

One of the favorite things about the New York Fire Department is that they put out a calendar packed with NYC’s sexiest fire fighters each year. Unfortunately there won’t be a sexy NYFD calendar in 2008, and it is doubtful that another calendar will ever be produced again.

Michael Biserta, a fireman for the New York Fire Department, is featuring fire department hunk coverboy, posing shirtless in front of the Statue of Liberty in the latest calender.

It turns out that it is not the first time that Michael Biserta has taken his shirt of for a camera. Michael Biserta was filmed without his shirt and pants for the infamous “Guys Gone Wild” video distributed in 2004.

Last year the calendar raised $150,000 for the FDNY Fire Foundation, a non-profit organization, that raises money for equipment and training.

“You can’t allow anything that tarnishes the reputation of the people on the job.” Said Hynes. “It was profoundly poor judgment.”

Last week, before the scandal broke, the calendar boys did a promotional event, at which the firefighters were playfully asked if they were single. Biserta’s response was “No comment.” source – cbs
