  • World’s most-delayed airports – prize goes to India

    If you are planning to travel and India is your chepest option be prepared to budget for extra travel time. Europe also followed suit in most-delayed airports in the world.

    FlightStats, a service that tracks historical and real-time flight information has found that only 49.95 percent of flights arrived in time in Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport. New Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport was second with 50.89 percent on-time arrival. Slideshow on the top airport with notorious arrival time record in 2008 gives the whole picture.

    On the brighter side, airports in Japan and Korea had the least-delayed airports in the world in 2008. All Japanese and Korean airpots taken in study (out of 200 busiest airpots) had more than 82% on-time arrival. (more here)
